SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF THE FACULTY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING – HUCE 
60 years – A proud legacy | A shared journey | A future beyond
As part of the activities commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (1966–2026), the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized a Scientific Workshop on September 26, 2026.
The workshop, themed “Development Trends in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Automation,” was held at Meeting Room 14H2, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE).
The event brought together university leaders, scientists, experts, lecturers, and representatives from universities, research institutes, professional associations, specialist clubs, and enterprises in the mechanical and power-engineering sectors.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Vice Rector of HUCE and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized the Faculty’s tradition, role, and contributions throughout its 60-year history. He also highlighted the importance of integrating Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the era of digital transformation.
Bouquets were presented to sponsors and partner organizations as a sincere expression of gratitude for their support and companionship in the Faculty’s education, scientific research, and cooperative-development activities.
Participants engaged in lively discussions through high-quality scientific presentations, focusing on two main themes:
Development directions and applications of emerging technologies
Specialized and advanced research topics
Notably, the scientific papers submitted to the workshop were selected for publication in two issues of the Journal of Science and Technology in Civil Engineering – HUCE and the Journal of Transport Science and Technology – University of Transport Technology. These publications help disseminate research outcomes and academic values to the wider scientific community.
