🌟 Introduction to the Kumho Asiana Scholarship 🌟

The Kumho Asiana Scholarship is a prestigious financial support program implemented by Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in accordance with Official Dispatch No. 7640/BGĐT-GDCTHSSV issued by the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs – Ministry of Education and Training.

1. Eligibility and Number of Scholarships

• Eligibility: First-year students with high university entrance scores and disadvantaged family circumstances.
• Number of scholarships: 05 awards in total.

2. Scholarship Value and Duration

• Value: Each scholarship is worth 2,500,000 VND per semester.
• Duration: The scholarship is granted throughout the student’s study period at the university
  (2 semesters per year, with training duration from 4 to 6 years depending on the major).
• Disbursement method: The scholarship is transferred directly to the student’s personal bank account.

3. Conditions for Maintaining the Scholarship

To continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent semesters, students must meet the following criteria:

• Semester GPA:
  • At least 7.0 (for credit-based training systems)
  • At least 2.8 (for GPA scale)
• Conduct evaluation: Achieve at least a “Good” rating throughout the study period.

4. Cases of Scholarship Termination

The scholarship will be discontinued in the following cases:

• Failure to meet the maintenance criteria (Section 3) twice or more
• Transfer to another university
• Failure to submit academic transcripts within the required deadline
• Studying abroad
• Academic suspension for more than 02 semesters

Note: In cases where a student is no longer eligible, the university will consider awarding the scholarship to another qualified student within the same academic year who is not receiving any other scholarships.
