AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING STUDENTS’ PRACTICAL FIELD TRIP

EARLY-COURSE PRACTICAL FIELD TRIP PROGRAM AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING MAJOR

Over three days—June 5, June 11, and June 12—students from two classes 66KOC1 and 66KOC2 (Automotive Engineering major), Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, visited, discussed, and gained practical exposure to the automotive field at three businesses in Hanoi:

  • Toan Cau Vehicle Trading & Services Co., Ltd. – An Hung Urban Area, Van Khe Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi.
Here, students toured the operating model and learned how a company in the automotive supporting industry works—specifically, importing parts and supplying them to dealerships and showrooms. The company’s leadership shared relevant topics, helping new students broaden their understanding of the automotive sector.

  • Manycar Auto – 112 Nguyen Chanh Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.
This unit specializes in used car trading and provides garage services to meet customer needs. Students had their questions answered and were encouraged to develop communication and sales skills if they wish to enter the car trading market after graduation.

  • Phuc Dong Auto Garage (T&V Car Spa) – 237 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Long Bien District, Hanoi.
The business owner is currently a production engineer at the VinFast automobile plant, so the visiting group had an opportunity to discuss and ask about Vietnam’s major private car manufacturer. This was a valuable chance for students to gain basic career orientation if they aspire to become factory engineers in the future.

This early-course field trip for students of 66KOC1 and 66KOC2 may not have focused on textbook knowledge, but it addressed practical needs relevant to students after graduation.

We sincerely thank the three businesses for their support and for facilitating the visits and discussions, which helped Automotive Engineering students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering gain career orientation and better understand different areas of the automotive industry.

The university hopes to receive even more interest and support from your companies in the future.

Wishing your companies continued growth and success!
