EARLY-COURSE PRACTICAL FIELD TRIP ACTIVITY AT
PHUONG LINH ELECTRO-MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING & TRADING CO., LTD.
From the very beginning of the bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, students are given opportunities to take part in practical field trips to workshops, factories, and companies in order to better understand the profession and specialized field they are studying.
On June 11, 2022—a day with fairly favorable weather—a student delegation from classes 66ME1, 66ME2, and 66KM took an on-site visit to the high-tech factory of Phuong Linh Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing & Trading Co., Ltd. located in Quang Minh Industrial Park, Me Linh District, Hanoi. This is a high-tech plant specializing in the manufacturing and production of industrial fans and dust extraction/filtration equipment for environmental treatment.

The delegation took a commemorative photo in front of the factory.
Founded in 2000, over 22 years of establishment and development, Phuong Linh’s products have continuously been improved, ensuring quality that meets European standards. With a nationwide distribution network and chains of electronics supermarkets across Vietnam, Phuong Linh products are present in most key national projects throughout the country.
To date, Phuong Linh has built a strong reputation and earned the trust of both domestic and international customers such as those in Japan, South Korea, and China, affirming its position as the No. 1 company in Vietnam in the manufacturing of industrial fans and dust extraction/filtration equipment.
Thanks to the determination and entrepreneurial passion of CEO Tran Van Le, together with Phuong Linh’s mission of serving and accompanying the development of Vietnam’s electro-mechanical industry, the company has strongly inspired the future generation of mechanical engineering graduates.

Students listened to an introduction to the factory’s production process.
Thanks to the enthusiastic support of Phuong Linh’s leadership—especially CEO Tran Van Le—the student delegation from classes 66ME1, 66ME2, and 66KM had a truly meaningful visit. The students were very excited to learn about the factory’s production process, as well as the functions and effectiveness of modern manufacturing systems such as automated production lines, laser cutting machines, automated punching/stamping systems, automatic blank distribution systems, rolling and tube-forming systems, welding robots, digital dynamic balancing equipment, and more.

After touring the factory, students were able to better envision their future work after graduation, gaining a clearer understanding of the production process and the equipment used to manufacture a specific product.
Although the experience was more demanding than classroom lessons—with sweat poured and shirts soaked—the students’ radiant faces still shone with confidence and strong belief in the future development of the industry, echoing the company’s slogan: “Increase value, strengthen trust.”
